Mornings of Mindfulness

This is a occasional Saturday morning event for those with some experience of mindfulness or similar awareness practice, held at the Quaker Meeting House, 74 Mutley Plain, central Plymouth.

You can arrive from 9.00am to settle in for a 9.30 start. We finish at 12.30. The morning has a simple programme of sitting and walking meditation, body awareness (‘bodyscan’), mindful movement – and a tea break. The whole morning is held in silence – including the tea break – with some spoken guidance – and discussion to close. There are good chairs for sitting, but please bring a mat or blanket to lie on and a cushion for floorpractice. (We provide tea, biscuits, etc.)

The Quaker Meeting House is in central Plymouth. This link should take you to a Google Map with an indicator of its location. Parking can usually be found in the streets nearby. (Ford Park Lane at the rear of the Quaker Meeting House has a pay-for car park; the road is free to park in, but you would have to arrive very early!) Public Transport: Many bus routes from Royal Parade in the city centre go to Mutley bus stop, 200 yards from Quaker House.

The cost of the morning is £10. Numbers are limited, so let us know if you are coming. Get in touch to ask more or to book your place, and please let others know if you think they might be interested.
